last night i was under my car changing my brakes and my little brother came out and started asking me questions then he asked me to quiz him on stuff on the motor. so while i we getting out i noticed oil on the intercooler and on the the little box before the intercooler. any help would be nice. where is it comming from, what is that black box

hmm.. thats wierd.. the only oil related things on that side of the engine would be a catch can if you have one.. other then that oil is known to build up in your intercooler so maybe its seeping out?? I have no clue what little box your talking about though

if you go from the turbo to the intercooler i have a black box before my intercooler then the a small bit of hose to the intercooler and that piece of hose is covered pretty heavy in oil. im not sure what the box is im goin to trace it in my chilton manual.

Not to sure about the oil thing, but like Larry said the only oil related thing over ther is your crankcase breather hose. Check that and make sure that is connected properly.

The little box came on the 95 year, it is worthless. I think it is like a resonator or somthing. You can just get a peice of exaust pipe that will fit in your IC pipes to bypass it and take it out, or you can get an IC pipe to fully replace it. Good luck!

The oil drain line from the turbo could possibly be loose or leaky and spray oil that way, and with the fans running it might get pushed that far....or maybe you have a really bad oil vapor recycling problem from the head and it's saturated your intercooler (strange to be that bad). Good luck.
