I just got a 92 Talon TSi AWD with some mods (mostly homemade) and need to fix and want to upgrade. It's got a set of Sprint Springs with about a 2" drop. what camber kit is good? Will this much drop cause axle problems? It's got a 3" cat-back with an Apexi muffler. Looks to be a new 14b with a manual boost controller and a Autometer boost gauge. It's got a 3kGT VR-4 fuel pump and Autometer A/F gauge. K&N filter with a homemade 3" intake. (it's 3" PVC pipe with a 3" into a 2" pipe to the turbo) Nology wires. Dual piston front calipers, but seems to have no brake action. (maybe just need to bleed the lines) it's got 117,000 miles on it.
Right now i'm looking for fluid leaks and checking oil pressure and compression. The guy i bought it from said compression was 130 on all four (that's pretty good for Colorado i think) but the oil pressure gauge wasn't hooked up. it seems to run fine and looks great. Anyone with opinions on where to start with a mild upgrade (i'll never go over 300hp) i've got about $2,000 to spend right now. i thought maybe an engine rebuild (for performance and insurance on future problems) with a set of 8.5:1 pistons and a balance shaft eliminator. Maybe a 3" downpipe and a highflow cat. A larger sidemount or fairly cheap FMIC with piping.
Any advice (good or bad) is welcome and appreciated. if you got something to sell and think i might put good use to it let me know.

Well, I'd get it running first, and get the bugs worked out. Change the timing belt if that hasn't been done (and the other belts, tensioner etc.), and while you're doing that, you can do the balance-shaft elimination while you are working right there anyway.

If you only want 300 horsepower (you'll break, hehe) I'd suggest going with a 3" full exhaust, and a 16G, that should just about do it. Engine rebuilds for performance on these cars isn't really necessary unless you're aiming for like 400+ horsepower. I wouldn't bother, unless you think something is broken.

The tuning guide on this site has a couple proven "recipies" that many people have tried, if you're aiming for 300 or 400 horsepower.
