What would be the best boost level to run on a 1991 Talon Tsi AWD with the following mods on pump gas(93 or 94 octane):

dejon tool intake, UICP, LICP, modified sidemount
RNR full 3 inch turbo back exhaust
NGK BPR6ES, Magnocor wires
HKS SSQV (recirculated)
ported exhaust manifold
BCS and MAF free mods
Extreme Technoligies MBC

Also is it neccesary to change the belt tensioner when you change your timing and balance shafts belts

No fuel pump? No more than 15psi then.

Yes, you should change the tensioner when you replace the belts. Old ones will leak.

I would suggest limiting yourself to 14 psi right now.

A 190 lph pump (rewired) will allow you to run probably about 16 or 17 psi. It will work fine with your stock FPR.

Thanks. I am going to run 14 psi for know since I do not have to fuel pump or rewire kit. Thanks for all the info. One last question, if any one has the mods that I have plus a 2600 ACT clutch, B&M short shifter, what was your 1/4 mile et.

Thanks a lot,
Bill

I have a 91 talon TSI with similar mods and the rewired fuel pump installed and i can run mid 13s at 16-17 PSI. At 14PSI and the stock pump i was running around 14 Flat. The rewired fuel pump and upgraded fuel line is the best mod ive made so far. It fixed many problems i was having in one shot.

How hard is it to change the belt tensioner on a 91 talon tsi awd with the engine in the car, and do you guys/girls have any advice/tricks for taking off the exhaust manifold on a 1991 tsi awd and taking off the SMIC.

why the bcs and an mbc??

The extreme technologies MBC is already on the car, and I figured that I would do the BCS free mod becasue it is a free mod and is recommended in the upgrade path on this website.

the mbc replaces the bcs. The bcs does nothing once you have an mbc, it just sits there.
