Looking to rebuild a 14B for my 2g

all i need are the parts.. i can get it balenced locally for little to nothing, and my friend can do the rebuild (its very simple btw) I just dont see the need to pay the $300 and up highway robbery prices for what can be done for under $150 (including balencing)

any ideas?

I put on a 14b for $125 including the price of the turbo...

yeah but the swap from t2 small to 14b is'nt going to net that much of a gain,therefore making it cost ineffective(atleast to poor people like me). if you're gonna run a mitsu turbo, why not rebuild a 16g?

good questions..

A: the 14B will flow much more than the t25 at high boost.. with full exhaust and intake it has no probs holding 17psi or so to redline... the T25 could only dream of this..

B: you can upgrade a 14B to a 16G for far less than a T28 costs..

C:a ported 14B coupled with a ported 02 housing and ported exhaust mani will flow almost as much (very close) to what a "small" 16g flows without porting.. and if you know someone with an air power die ginder (i do) its free.

d:you dont need to buy that satupid $300 dollar to install it.. or a 16G for that matter.. 80 bucks can get a 14b or 16g onto a 2g with a little smarts...

A 14B on a 2G is a awsome gain. it's also a cheap way to be able to prepare the car for a 20G or similar turbo.

prepare? should the honda guys prepare there civics with b16s before they go h22a? and by awesome gain you mean 60-70hp? you see what i'm getting at? just not worth it in my opinion,but thats just me. if its worth it to you,by all means,go for it.

a T28 is better than a 14B.. but its not 5 to 6 hundred dollars better..

i agree with that,thats why i said go for the 16g.

a 16G + install kit cost about the same as a T 28.

By prepare i mean, after installing the 14B then you can add on 550 injectors, fuel pump, some sort of fuel control, EGT gauge. Then get a 20g. If not you have to buy the 20g and baby it for as long as it takes to get the supporting mods.
