I am having a serious problem with heat soak on my car and wanted some input from others. I have an MKIV sidemount on my car with the t25 and after one run this intercooler is allready heatsoaked. I installled it thinking the t25 was such a small turbo it would never heat soak. Is it happening because the t25 is not efficient at the psi I am running (16psi) and the compressed air is just extremely hot. I am thinking if I upgrade my Turbo to a 16g then the compressed air temps will go down at the same psi and the IC will stay cool longer. I am also considering a Co2 sprayer for it, unless I should just get a FMIC allthough I would rather not have to as I thought the MKIV would be enough for a 16g.

Umm how do you know your heatsoaking the IC? And i would not think a t25 would heat soak that IC. Crap my 16g does not heat soak my Stock IC.. well not yet anyway its like 20 degrees out there and im only running 11psi. I would say buy the 16g and be happy.
 
I know its heatsoaked because it is hot as hell, but yes when it was 20 degrees outside here it was great. Now that its hot out here its getting really bad, wait until the temps in your area rise.
 
dont get a FMIC with the t25!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just dont it will make you slower. Get the 16g it will be alot better than the t25 and im pretty sure it wont heat soak as fast. And then get the FMIC.
 
screw the 16g, save your money and buy something actualyl worth putting in your car like an big16g or 18g. Such a waste to put money into something you're going to be wanting to get rid of down the road...
 
Thanks for your suggestions guys, I am still pondering what I am going to do. I think I am gonna invest in an intercooler sprayer for sure, but as far as Turbo choice its still up in the air. I just used the 16g as an example because it is for sure more efficient at 16psi than the t25. Eventually a FMIC will come but for now I think a more efficient turbo and an intercooler sprayer should do me just fine.
