I just installed my Hallman ES MBC today. i seriously doubt that I did it right. I have the knob as far out as I can get it, and it's spiking to almost 30 psi. I tapped into the BOV for my source, and I have the other connection to the wastegate actuator. I have the nipple on my Injen CAI capped, and the bcs is still in with the hoses disconnected, but not capped. I can hear it leaking in my "T" splice, and I am going to get some better clamps to to stop that. I have a 16g which didn't have a nipple on it. What else could be the problem? Please please help.

Kind regards,
G

You probably just dont have the boost scource connected good enough to open up the wastgate.

The hose coming in should be facing the knob like KNOB |<--- (boost comes in here)

then the other house the L part top part of the L should be going out to the wastegate.

The spring and ball are moved by the air and then it goes out the top of the L down to your wastegate.

You probably just dont have the boost scource hooked up well enough to get pressure.

WHEW!!! Boy am I a dumb-butt!! I looked at the Hallman instructions..AGAIN.....this time looking at the way the hoses get connected to the stupid thing. WELL.....come to find out, I put it on backwords. I turned it around rehooked it, and voila! 16 PSI of constant boost!! All is well in my world again. Thanks Hostile for replying. I figured out my problem right after I posted. :thumb:

Kind Regards,
G

Yep! Alive and Spoolin'!! I hit high PSI, and never hit fuel cut. Scary! But, once I fixed it, all is fine.

In all honesty our trusty 4G63s can take quite alot. Every motor is different, all having their own thersholds depending on the care given to them. Can the stock head hold 30psi? I think I remember a while back someone tinking in the 30+ on a stock head. Remember it's not the psi that kills, but detonation. I woundn't recommend sustained runs at 30psi :thumb: but I've spiked b4 as well as many others. I would assume Gator only hit that point for an instance since he was trying to tune in his mbc and watching the boost.
