WASUP??? I WENT INTO IGNITION SOLUTIONS SITE BUT FOUND NOTHING FOR DSM! I AM RUNNING AN MSD DIS-2 IGNITION WITH MSD 8.5MM WIRES ON NGK PLUGS . I TOO AM INTERESTED IN PLASMA COILS. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW BRANDS, PRICING , INSTALLATION, & ADVANTAGES :thumbdown . DONT KNOW OF ANYONE WITH THEM OR THAT HAS HAD THEM, SO I AM COMPLETELY NEW TO THIS. JUST SEEN THEM ON MAGS & THE DSMTUNERS GALLERY. I GOT THE FOLLOWING REPLY TO A MESSAGE I POSTED...

Hi,
I bought the coils from Napa Auto Parts (http://www.napaonline.com) Part number IC261. They are for a 2000 Dodge Intrepid V6. I think 1998 and up Intrepid or Chrysler 300 will work. The cost was around $35 each. These must be used with a CD ignition box. I am using a MSD DIS-2 (http://www.napaonline.com)
Haven't had the opportunity to do any testing as I'm still waiting on cams and making other modifications. The advantages I'm hoping for is to be able to widen the Spark plug gap from .028" to .035" and maintain a healthy spark at 25+ pounds of boost. I have read here and on other forums is that there is no advantage over stock or your average modified DSM other then it looks badass.
