HKS cams & CROWER spring kit questions

1. Can CROWER springs & titanium retainers kit be used with HKS 264/272 cams combo?
2. Dose anyone using them? if so, is there is any special way or work need to be done during installation or it's normal cam & springs installation?
 
Well Im sure if I had a better intake manifold and a 60-1 or somethign I wouldnt mind shifting (as long as I made power) at like 8500-9k, if my tranny woudl permit it. I do not have the stock revlimit removed as of now. I hope to be able to make power with my G50 up to the rev limit which is 7500rpm... Just keep in mind there are other factors about making power (which is the only reason one would want to shift at such a high rpm) up that high in the rpm range than just the valvetrain...

Well the reason I asked was I just got my L3R and I was going to get HKS 272s and the crower spring and retainer kit. I figure I should be able to make HP up there and wondered how high I should try and go.

The crower kit with the springs and retainers is good for 9000 rpm. I have a 60 trim and web street cams and the crower kit and my rev limiter is at 8000. I just have it at 8000 bc it's scary already at 6000 rpm and 9000 I'll just die...OMG with my tranny:shhh:
 
Yes when you get to upping the rev limiter the engine is not your main concern anymore it's the tranny will not shift very well at 8k and above.
 
Why would you want to rev that high?? Even if your powerband permitted you to go that high....why not just get some cam gears and lower your curve to about 7000 - 7500?? I was just wondering??

Depends on your turbo. Some big turbos start to make bigger power in the higher rpms. Even tho cam gears may change the performance curve some. Still the bigger turbo pushes more air in the higher rpm sometimes.Plus too depends on the car setup. If it's for drag racing or daily driver. Mines a daily driver(aka weekend warrior) but I like full boost...(for now 15 psi) around 3500. But if traction is a problem you don't need big power at lower rpms. I hope this help some.
