I'm getting an external gate soon, and I can't decide where to put it. I would like to put it on the O2 housing, but im afraid that the air might still get backed up even though theres no flapper or anything in there any more. I would like to put it there becase down-time will be minimal. My other option is to stick it on the #1 runner, but I have been told that it is not as efficient as putting one on the O2 housing because it is harder for the air from the other runners to get to the 'gate. On top of that I'm lookin at 2 days down-time.

My other concern is I have a Delgate, which has a greater diamiter than the more popular Tial or HKS 'gates, and im afraid i won't be able to fit it on the housing without it hitting the manifold.

Any ideas?

Well if you are cutom making an o2 then Im sure fitment will be fine. Obvisouly, just make it to fit.. I now the deltagates are bigger (little uglier to =))a but Im sure youll be able to squeeze it in there. I think that the o2 mounted gates are pretty cool IMO. People have had great results and you don thave to screw your manifold up if you want to use it for somethign else later. Just make sure that you port out the flapper hole really really good, to at leist the same siz as the diaphram in the deltagate...
