First thanks to all those who replied to my first thread. Funny, it gernerated more questions than answers!

Looking for more input from users out there:

1) Does one really need to go (and what might you gain other than good looks and nice sound) with aftermarket BOV or can you just use the stock Mitsu 1G BOV in a 17 lb boost situation?

2) The HKS SS unit seems to have a good idea in that it is a different design versus the others, and apparently will not flutter at low boost...are there some users out there of this unit on a DSM? If so how loud is it?

Thanks for the input!

The only reason to "upgrade" 1G BOV in 17lb of boost application would be for looks and sound...

People have been using them deep into 11's.

One more thing to keep in mind, you can't match the quality and durability of stock 1G DSM OEM unit. All the big name BOV's can work just fine when new, but have you seen any of them after 10+ years of service? Few can survive that long.
