I just bought a 92 awd laser that broke the timing belt. As expected the valves got a little to friendly with the pistons. The pistons all have some nice size marks on them where they hit the valves. Does it really matter? Nothing broke off in any of the cylinders and none of the cylinders appear to be scared up. The engine has 111k miles on it. Should I just go with the rebuild or just fix the head and put it back together? I'm looking for opinions of what you would do if was your car.

To the top or not to the top that is the question:p

Build it and it will thank you. But honestly it all depends on how much $$ you are willing to put in it. Its not that huge of a deal to pull a engine. It took my friend and I about 9 hours to get his out. And about 3 of those hours were used just looking for the right tools:mad: 111k miles...Were they well taken care of miles? Hows the pistons look? Are they really carbond up? Oil changes every 3 months? Did the engine burn any oil? Good luck making the right decision.

But think of it this way....... Less money in your wallet + more engine compression + aftermarket internals = more fun!!:thumb:
