Would a Ported O2 sensor housing and or a dumptube hurt the performance on the stock 14B turbo? I plan to eventualy get a Big 16G with 550's 190fuel pump, but should i get a ported O2 or a dump pipe Before, After or not at all? <'90Talon Tsi AWD>"current mods: MBC, UICP, 2.5" catback." Thanks for any help.

I would say if you get your hands on a 2g O2 housing and 2g exhaust manifold, go ahead and port them both and you should be fine. If you want to really help your turbo out, pull the exhaust housing of the turbo and port the inlet to match the outlet on the exhaust manifold. If you take the lip out of the stock 14b housing, it should come out to 6cm. You can port it to 7cm if you want, but you'll run a higher risk of it cracking.

For the O2 housing, port the inlet side out as far as you can. For the side that matches up with the DP, just use a 2.5" universal gasket to see how far to port and just polish everything when you are done.

Should i expect any boost creep with a big 16G and the ported O2 and or a dump tube? When i buy a new Big 16G possibly ported and clipped, do you think that the wastegate that will come on it will efficient or will i have to port it. Would an external wastegate on a Big 16G ported and clipped be pointless? Thanks for the input.

I had boost creep on a 14b with ported 2g manifold, ported 7cm housing and ported o2. I would set it at 16-18psi and would sometimes get as much as 21psi by 6k.

The same car runs a small 16g and runs the same ported exhaust components but now will creep to 20+ by 5k. Even with the flapper discconected it will boost to 18psi by redline.

Hey Wizard, what type of exhaust are you running along with the ported manifold and O2 housing? I hope I don't have as much problems with boost creep when my ported mani and O2 go on this weekend. I'm running a 2.5" turbo back with a test pipe.

How do you disconnect the wastegate flapper? I am having the same boost creep problems you are having. Is it bad on the car or turbo to disconnect the wastegate flapper?
