I heard a little about what an external and internal wastage are, but I wanted to make sure, so if you know what they it would really help a lot if you could explain them to me, what they are and what they do. Thanks. PS: If you know anything about air/fuel ratios, visit my other thread. "air/fuel ratios, what are they?"

Internal waste gates are connected within the turbo itself, and External's are Seperate from the turbo.

Thats right. If your deciding which route you want to go, well external is going to dump in the atmosphere so when that wastegate opens, well it loud, damn.:thumb:

Not always there are some companies that let you route the dumped wastegate gases back into the exhaust. I know that VP can custom make you a setup to whatever specs you want. External wastegates can flow more air then some internal wastegates but not always. It really depends on what kinda setup you plan on running.

here is a pic for you showing a external wastegate routing back into the exhaust.

Hey thanks guys all the info really explains a lot. If im not mistaken in your picture the external wastage was connected to the o2 sensor housing (correct me if im wrong), would you have to buy a special o2 sensor housing, or could you just buy a normal one from this site.
