Shorter BOV dump tube?

CaN anyone tell me the benefits of making your bov dump tube shorter? i've seen a couple people mention that they shortened it, so i was curious. also can anyone tell me how many screws there are holding my headlight on, and where the hell they are, i took off like 3 or 4 and the headlight still wouldn't come out. i know i probabaly sound like really inexperienced, but i just don't wanna hurt my baby!!.....

The Bov dump tube goes deep into the intake and restrics flow removing helps air flow and in some cases make your BOV sound louder. There is also a bolt under your headlight you have to take your bumber off to get it.

i hacked my bov dump tube and my bov got a little louder.
i noticed some gain in hp due to the less restriction.
all you hvae to do is pull it out and decide where to cut it
i cut mine at the groove that starts the end piece. That eliminated the restriction adn still gave enough of the tube to dump into the intake.

When I cut the tube, I lost alot of my blow off valve sound but I could feel a gain in power. When you look into the intake pipe, you will be suprised how air even got to the turbo, the tube really restricts airflow.

hold on, i'm confused, i know i'm not suppost to vent to atmosphere, so what am i suppost to do? use a different tube? or just cut the one that's there shorter??

ignore that last one, i didn't see ted's reply, but hey do u think it would be better if i just got a different tube that didn't have any bends in it at all?

and while you are at it, do the "catch can" thing with the fuel filter. Great stuff man!! No drippin on the floor, no smog police problems, and best of all, no more oily crap in the turbo and intercooler!
