i know i had this thread about a week ago, its again about the fuel pump, you guys reccommended me to get the 190. I just found a really good deal on a 255. like 80 bucks brand new with install kit. it that a good deal? i cant find that type of price on any other site! shoud i go for it?

thanks for tha help guys !!

I'm not using a AFPR with my 255HP, but that's not to say I don't need one :) In general, the deal with a bigger Fuel pump is that in theory, at higher levels of boost, its not a 1/1 ratio and you run leaner and richer at lower rpms or boost. Perhaps this is causing me knock issues :>

If you are thinking of getting a Green, go with at least a 255hp imo.

i just found a guy selling this FPR. he's giving me a really really good price. he doesnt know much about it though. here are some pics, lemme know if it will do the job or not. it this works out, i could get the pump and this FPR for under 100 bucks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lemme know something!

It's not all that bad really, and not so sure thats the problem because I also have a boost leak...I'm just lazy and havn't felt like fixing it yet. All in due time. I'm getting some other stuff like a wideband before I go that route. I only see knock around 5500 and I got rid of it by retarding the timing for now.

Thats a stock FPR. I would suggest you do your homework on this project and know what your getting into (parts and what not). If your trying to do it cheap I would stop now. Your talking about your fuel system. My advice is do it right and spend the money needed to get the right parts.

If you want to save some money you can get a AFPR add on from B&M through summit or roadrace engineering. You will need to cut the stock regulator and add a new spring unit that will allow you turn up the pressure needed but will not allow you to turn it down below stock settings.

what's up marc, this is chris.

in response to the above: something that has been tried and worked has been drilling the hole out larger in the fuel side of the stocker and using the b&m to raise it back up to the stock level.

this isn't a project for everyone though.
