This post is actually for a friend of mine. I know it is Valentine's night, but I really need your help
My friend drove home the other night with a slipping alternator belt. The car drove fine, perfectly, strong. He let it turbo time for about 6 minutes, hoping to charge the battery. The next day, he bought a new belt and put it on. The car didn't start. It cranked over, but didn't start. He thought to change the spark plugs, and still didn't start. Then he exchanged the battery for a new one, still didn't start. I looked at it today, he has spark and fuel, found the timing was off by like 3 or 4 teeth. I re-aligned the timing marks, and still didn't start. While the spark plugs were out, trying to turn the crank, it was easy until it got to a certain spot. Once you get past that certain spot, it is easy again. He has a 93 tsi turbo fwd, ported head, i think freshly rebuilt, 16g turbo, and dejon tool boost controller. He has the safc2 and 550's to put in, but wants to get the car running first.

Well if you did the compression test correctly and the belt jumped time. You really may not know how far. Sounds to me like some bent valves.
You can take the valve cover off and see if there are any variances in vlavle height. It's not a perfect way, but it'll get you going in the right direction.

yea sounds like bent valves are you sure # 1 piston was at top dead center it has to be perfect or ur gonna get no compression if one of the valves are slightly open
