im not a 100 percent on this but i dont think anyone should eliminate there o2 sensor. correct me if im wrong but you cant really do it without gettin the o2 taken out of the computer right.

i say that because when i got my 98 ls1 z28 tuned i had him delete the rear o2 sensors so i could get rid of the cel.

The O2 housing that you linked is just a stainless tubular 02 housing with the option to recirculate the external wastegate. The cheapest option is to port your 2g O2 housing and then buy a downpipe and catback exhaust of your choice. The part you linked is not needed by any means but is a nice upgrade if your pockets can handle it.

There are basically four options for oxygen housings of which I'm aware. There's also probably a variation of each with no O2 sensor bung for drag racing, maybe no/some external engine management solutions need the sensor or want it to be placed there. Just a guess though.
