T28 install pics!! 56k beware!

I just got my t28 installed! I only have the boost at 10 psi right now but it feels pretty good at 10psi. IM on the stock fuel setup for now but hope to get some 550's, 190 walbro and S-AFC soon. Is it safe to run any higher than 10psi right now? One other thing I was wondering how and the hell do you tell a T28 from a T25 can you tell by the exhaust or comp wheel I would love to know thanks a lot.

you should be able to run 13-14 psi on the stock fuel system.

try getting a fuel pump upgrade atleast so you can run 15psi

I would say rewire your fuel pump, run 13 psi. Install a 190 pump and rewire it and run 15-16psi on stock injectors. I wouldnt push it any further than taht tho...

Look at the wheel, if it looks identical to your T25, then you got ripped off. Did you buy it used?

P.S. you are running an o2 dump on a T28?

the comp wheel looks diff looks a little bigger? but im not to sure its just a regular t28 not a big!

Yeah if its a little bigger its a T28 then. What company made it? Is it just a garrett T28, or an AGP T28? Its not a FP Big28 because it would have FP stamped on it.

If you're not 100% that it's a T28 then I have my doubts. My AGP T28 does not have that stepped inlet on the compressor side, and the wheel appears to be quite a bit bigger....well, if it was all there in the pic New one should be here within the week, .

Damn dude what happened to your turbo, the compressor wheel looks all torn up! You must have had some pretty bad compressor surge.

the turbo is a garret t28 from turbochargers.com I e-mailed them with pics of the turbo.

i run 18 psi on a ported/clipped 16g with an un-rewired 190 lph pump. runs fine, dont get my timing pulled, till it creeps to 25 and i hit fuel cut

Whoa !!!!! Wait a minute !! I looked at those pictures hopeing to see a brand new T-28 installed on your car ........ instead I see your old rusty T-25 . Where are the pics of the T-28? .......... That turbo in those pics is a T-25 ! Did you buy that turbo off of someone that TOLD you it was a TC.COM T-28 ?
Jeeze I hope you did not waste your money on the turbo in those pics !

I bought the turbo from a guy on this board he said it was from turbochargers.com its not the big t28 he said just a regular t28? is this really a t25 how and the hell do I know if I got ripped?

I saw in one of the picks a part # tag on the bearing housing . Can you post a picture of the tag with the part number on it ?

Yeah it looks like a regular t-25 to me. But hey, if you already installed it, set the boost to like 16psi and punch it to see if the boost dies off at high rpms or not. If it does, than it a t-25

Here is the situation, Its kind of confusing but ill try and explain it the best I can. I bought the turbo from a member on the board. We will call that member X! X bought the fake t-28 from someone else that told him that is was a t-28 he then decided to sell it to me not knowing that it was really a T-25. I have no idea if member X knows that it is a T-25 and tried to rip me off or if he really thought that it was a t28 and was legit about the entire deal. I have tried to call member X but he is at work right now. IM going to try and find out whom sold him this turbo? I think the person who sold him the fake T-25 is also a member of the board. This is really kinda confusing because I don’t know whom to blame. My big problem is going to be trying to get my money back, if member X knows that it’s a T-25 do you really think he will take the turbo back? If anyone can give my any advice other than IM a MORON, I would really appreciate it.
