I was driving down the freeway playing with a ford probe GT. gotta love toying with them. Well, except for today. The red gt flies past me so i go for the kill. I get on hiss ass and get off cuz i see he doesnt have a chance. But after i see that he keeps pushing it, i say what the hell and i go for it. I stomp it and then all of a sudden i hear a bang and my car dies. RPM drops very fast and tranny goes into neutral on its own. I pull off and cant get it to start back up. I think its my timing belt. I was dressed well and couldnt get dirty to check. So i called a tow truck and got it towed to my mechanic. Got home and drove my truck. All in all, all i have to say is i got some bent valves and a belt to replace. I need this car to get to work and school so the mechanic better not take long. I also need it for the sentamental feelings i have for it. I love my DSM. :dsm:

My car has 118000 miles on her. I stopped by the mechanic after school. It turns out that it wasnt my timing belt but an ignition problem. The motor wont spark up. Hopefully by the time i get out of work it will be done. Stock ignition except for some denso plugs.

In the end i need a new crank angle sensor and cam position sensor. My car is automatic so i think i'm a little less prone to crank walk then the 5speed guys. I guess the one advantage to having an auto tranny.
