i'm doing my motor over and i was wondering what valves i should use.
the motor is going to have
evo 8.7:1 pistons
stock 92 rods
web street cams
no balance shafts
ported head

i also have a big 16g
550 injectors
afc
all suporting mods

i was wondering which would benefit me more 1mm oversized valves or stock valves? or is that just overkill

if i get 1mm oversized valves do i get exhaust and intake or just intake valves?

and should i get double springs to?

If you are not planning to rev over 7500 you don't not need upgraded valve-spings and retainers.

If you get 1mm valves you need intake and exhaust. Also make sure the person porting your head knows what they are doing so they can take advantage of the oversized valves.

yeah but is there a real benefit to using them if i'm only using a big 16 g

having a 16g isn't going to make any differnce on what valves you use. It matters how much are going to port the head.

I'm saying if your getting a mild port on the head. no

If your going to hog the thing out get them.

When my timming belt went out, and smashed my exhaust valves, I got oversived valves on the exhaust side only... the intke valves are still stock. I am pretty sure that your valve guides will have to be bored bigger, because I know that my guides were worn down, so I HAD to get the oversized valves because they had a larger diameter stem.
