Has anyone ever looked into throttle bodies from our car's cousins with V6's? I saw one at a junkyard and pulled it off. I couldn't find a dsm to compare it to and they wanted too much for me to take it home without knowing. It looked exactly the same size, but I'm not sure if I could eyeball a few mm difference, especially without a reference. I'm also not finding anything on google or here, except that you can get them 3mm oversize just like ours.

Is there a reason you want to use one? The stock 1g throttle body will take your farther than most people ever go.

Diamante's have a 65mm throttle body. It's a common upgrade for the 3g cars but not for a DSM.

Not particularly. I really like the NT setup I have, just wondering. Undoing the screws to take of the FIAV getup isn't something I ever want to do again.

Why for 3g cars? It looked like it had the exact same bolt pattern.

Should be enough slack in the throtte cable to route it the other side.

I highly doubt that.

If you wanted to re-route the cable and add some length to it then it wouldn't probably be terribly difficult but we have a ton of stuff in the way on the front side of the IM and IMO it would look like ass and not be a significant upgrade.

Surely I know it's not a bolt on affair, but it's something new and different.

I'm just personally not a fan of re-routing a throttle cable through things and modifying brackets when those actions may cause a situation where you can end up with a stuck throttle for a slightly larger throttle body when my 1g tb outflows my evo3 16g turbo at 23psi.

Nearly 70mm at the mouth and can be bore out to nearly 69mm.
Yes, it's better suited for a SMIM with the throttle flip 180* and ported TB opening, not the cyclone I'm using.
