What happens to those chunks of burnt valves?

What happens to those chunks of burnt valves? In our cars, do they usually get burnt up or go out the turbo? I did not get a free clipping when these 2 burnt. Didn't see any pieces of metal in the oil pan. Magnetic drain plug had a fair bit of metal film, but it had been a little while between changes.

They replaced them with sbi valves, I wonder if those are alright?

If I had to guess, out the exhaust pipe.

If that was the case it would obviously have to go through the turbo...

They don't disappear. They either went through your turbo and are in your cat, in the intake manifold, exhaust manifold, or on top of the piston.

There may not have been chunks left. It may have melted the bits into small sand size bits and just blown out the exhaust. The best thing to do is check your turbos tubine blades and see if any damage has been done to them. If no sighns of damage there then you should be ok. Good luck.

PS.... As tkelly said they could be in your cat. Take a look in there as well.

I would think it got red hot and burned like that in a matter of seconds, shooting sparks out the ports to the turbo. You may not see any damage to the turbine, but I would clean out the turbine housing just to make sure.
