I was wondering if anybody knew how to fit the 93' RX-7 wheels on a 1G without using spacers. I do not trust spacers... I know many use spacers, but I was looking for something like a new but thicker hub assembly that will push the wheels out 15mm in the back and 10mm in the front I believe it is. If anybody has any information on this subject, I would really appreciate your help.

The spacers aren't what cause problems. Problems are caused by not running a long enough stud. If you swap out the stock studs for some longer ones (they make stronger than stock ones) you should have no problems.

Also from what i have read, it is important to use hub centric spacers. Non hub centric spacers put more stress on the wheel studs and that is what causes them to snap.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have been looking for these hub centric spacers and longer studs, but have not found pictures of any with the ads. Any links are greatly appreciated. Also, I have read many different spacer thickness numbers when it comes to not grinding anything and just bolting the wheels on with longer studs and spacers. Any help with the rear and front spacer thickness I should run would be great as well. Thanks again.

I called RRE and they did not have any longer studs in stock. Does anybody know of another place to get some spacers and longer hub studs? Preferably hub centric spacers. Thanks for any additional information.

Yeah extremepsi has the arp studs but I don't know about the hubs. I plan on running the FD wheels on my 1g too. Best rim for the buck when talking about weight and strength and looks in my opinion.

Those seem to be the safest ones to go with. Thanks for the help Sean.

No spacers in front if using tires 225 and smaller.

However, spacers and grinding required in rear if you have awd. FWD doesn't need any rear grinding because the suspension is differernt. There isn't a huge metal member/control arm piece running across. I think I used a 5mm spacer for each side in the rear.

Don't forget longer studs for saftey.

Some info

I ran the FD wheels on the original studs with no issues for a year. During that time I had numerous 1.8 60 fts and hard antilag 15psi street launches with no stud breakage. This was also without any hubcentric spacers, just the cheap put on, non centered type. This isn't to say it will work fine with no breakage on the studs, but thought I'd just share my experience.

I did AutoX with these also. No problems yet.
