I can't believe what I'm about to do... I pulled the head off the car I just bought ('92 TSI AWD) with the intention of only replacing the head gasket. Well I don't know why but... I have pretty much decided to go all out and rebuild the bottom end while it is apart. I'm gonna go 95 pistons (+.20), 1G big rods, ARP head and main studs, new oil and water pump, Balance shaft removal, timing belt, etc. I can't really afford to (I guess I will sell my spare parts to pay rent) but... I can't afford to have any problems caused by not doing it either. Just look at what Mr. Murphy says in my sig.
I have one question. When running 8.5 compression with the 2G pistons is their going to be a problem with driving it otherwise stock? The only things this car has done is a rebuilt trans, Stage II clutch, hacked 1G mass air (and I just bought a 2G mass air), uicp. I will be running with no boost control (stock boost) and stock injectors/ fuel pump. Will this cause drivability problems?
