Hello all DSM Brothers and Sisters. I know this is propably in the wrong place, but i wanted to get every one to read this. Let me tell u all a story about me and my favorite car. I have a 96 gst convertible that around april of last year blew up. I was pissed, but thought oh well i just will get it fixed and maybe do some upgrades while i was at it. I took my car to what i thought was a reputable place in my city. The owner new exactly what to say to confince me that he was the best import performance shop around, not to mention the only one at the time. When my car got there it took him around 3 weeks to pull the motor to see what the damage was to my internals. He said that i needed a new motor. I searched on the net to figure out what to do and everyone told me to do the 1g swap so thats what i did. I asked the owner of the shop if that would be a problem and they said they could get it together. Needless to say the Bull shitted around on getting the parts so i ordered them all myself, this pissed them off. They didnt have a clue what they were doing and wouldnt tell me when they needed parts and stuff. I didnt realize what was going on then, but i do now. The shop was charging me storage for my car like it was my fault when really it was theirs. They over charged me for the work also and took way to long. I finally got fed up with it after 8 mnths and said i want my car back. I had found a new shop so i called them to get my car back and the owner told me i owed him 1600 dollars. i couldnt beleive it, all they had done was pulled my motor and put the new short block onto my parts. i had been quoted for the hole thing done for 1300 dollars. so i tried everything to get my car back, but he wouldnt let me have it back till i payed the money. I tried everything to get it back, but with no luck. i finally payed him around 2 weeks ago and got the car back without the motor in it. He told me it was ready to go in. the tranny was on it and everything. i had the shop look it over and he screwed up everything. there was no rear main seal or main and he had bent my valves torquing down the head. i could go on for a week on all the stuff that was wrong. Well i called him on this and he refused to give me my money back on any of it. well needless to say the other shop had to fix everything and it was going to cost me 1500 dollars because of all of his mistakes and parts he tore up. i have filed to sue him in court, but the court day isnt till march 10 and i want my car back now, but cant afford to get it back till i get the money if i even win. we have pics and the guy working on my car worked for mitsubishi for 16 years and is certified, so i dont see a problem in winning. I just want my car back now. it has been long enough. and i want him to pay for this. to make a long story short, what i am writing this for is not for people to feel sorry for me, but for people to help. and who else to ask help from but people that know what im feeling right now. im asking everyone that reads this and can feel what im feeling to donate money to the get my car back fund. this may sound silly, but if u have ever been without ur DS for as long as i have been then u would understand.
