Just wondering, because I will be doing my exhaust mods soon. Is it better to have a 3" o2 eliminater downpipe or have a 3" o2 housing then a 3" downpipe? Will there really be any performance differences or benifits for future mods with either? thanks for any input :dsm:

I don't have AIM

I would recommend going with real 3" 02 elim downpipe. You won't be disappointed with the choice. By the time you have your EVO 02 housing ported and buy a 3" downpipe it's almost more than getting a 3" 02 elim downpipe from the beginning. Also it won't perform as well either.

Also you will never feel the need to upgrade again. The performance difference is amazing and you will definitely feel it.

There is nothing needed to make it work. It bolts right up to your turbo. The price for 3" 02 elim downpipe is $330. There is a week lead time on downpipes.

I want to know,

I have a 1990 eagle talon Tsi AWD and I was thinking about boreing out my stock O2 sencer housing and my exuast manifold, I want to know how much can I bore out them both

I would port match the exhaust manifold to a 7cm gasket. For the 02 housing I would port it out as large as you can get it. The larger the better with the 02 housing.

i have a 3" o2 housing, and its wonderful. for what it cost $380 the RnR 3" eliminator d/p is a better choice.

great, thanks for all the advice guys, I'm gonna go with the o2 eliminator from RnR, I've herd nothing but great things about them, now I'm just waiting on that tax return. One more thing probly a stupid question but I am also probly getting a 2g exhaust manny, that wouldn't change anything to do with the Down pipe would it? I don't see how it would but, I just want to be sure

That brings up another question the internal or external dump issue. I know that an external is crazy loud but other than that is there any other real difference, differences in performance?maybe a dumb question but I want to get things done right the first time and as soon as I get that tax return back I want to order.

How come nobody is mentioning the fact that you probably have to relocate your oil filter housing if you go with a 3" o2 housing? Everyone I know that runs a 3" housing has a relocation kit on their car.

With our 3" 02 elim downpipe there is no need for an oil filter relocation. It clears the oil filter fine.

Sure the piping clears the housing, but then what about when you gotta take the filter off? Can you keep using a big filter or have to change to the smaller Mitsu filter?

Wow I didn't even think of that I am glad someone mentioned it, but even happier to hear I won't have a problem when I get the o2 elim

Im sorry if this has been covered before, but I would like to know if this rnr dp bolts up to any garret or mistsubishi turbo. Is it one standard size?
