I have a 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST automatic.

Just installed the following:

Rebuilt 14b
Stock j-pipe
560 evo injectors
Walbro 190 lph fuel pump

I'm stuck on the lower intercooler piping. The J-pipe is very close to the radiator fan. I'm going to need a 90 degree elbow bend in order to clear it. What I want to know is WHO drives an A/T and has Hard Pipes?

DEJON powerhouse offers hard licp, but they claim the LIP-2gB does not fit auto's. So this is why I am stuck. I read many threads about people blowing off stock intercooler pipes. Might as well get nasty and upgrade it while the car is down.

Let me know, I'd rather not piece things together BUT I want this car done in 2 weeks. So I will do what must be done. Pics greatly appreciated.

Is that black bump pan looking thing in the way, is that why I cant use DEJON Powerhouse 2gb licp?

Someone definetly needs to make a hard piping kit for 2g A/T DSM's :aha:

Keep on thinking of ideas guys...

I'm not sure what your reffering to as being in the way. The Dejon LICP(the S pipe) would work if you had the stock T25 turbo.
Their website specifically states that the 2gb LICP will not fit AUTO.

It's a longer J pipe and then attaches to the L pipe. My suggestion for the radiator fan is to replace it with an A/C fan. It's a direct replacement and gives you way more room.

Is that feeding from the head or the OFH?

Im going to look for this on ebay now. I just need those two pipes, couplers and clamps then.

You don't need the rest of the stuff in the kit. And that oil feed line sucks. It broke on me as soon as I got it. However, I don't think you can buy everything seperate. But you need those two pipes and you will be all set.

I couldn't find that on eBay. I did check the classifieds on tuners, sure enough there are a few people selling (well they still have the ad active at least) exactly what I need. So hopefully everything works out for a good price.
 
I never realized there was a problem. I have plenty of room on my AT DSM using RRE hard pipes for a 16g. I used to rub the nipple on the lower pipe against the transmission but just adjusting the couplers helped enough that it stopped. When I upgraded to a Supra SMIC I got a lot more space since the inlet for that intercooler is farther forward.
 
Any body else using Hard Pipes that has an Automatic? I want to know if they just say "does not fit AUTO" because they just do not have an Auto car to test it on? What would be in the way?

The reason most vendors say this is because of the different shape of the auto trans (that pan in your case) Will not allow you to use their product properly without any kind of modification. Im sure you can make that ebay jpipe work.
