head stud tightening pattern

i've looked everywhere in my haynes manual and can not find the sequence in which to tighten the headstuds. does anyone know how to tighten them or what page i can find it on in the haynes manual.. thanks

I just start from the middle and work my way out...

i finally found it in there. you want to work in diagnols from the outside in.

Uhm. No.

Always start in the middle and work your way out. You want to crush the gasket middle to edges.

8-6-1-3-9
10-4-2-5-7

the haynes manual says to do it that way. my fault then.
