Ok i put a 1g bov on my 2g tsi and it doesn't. Ok i'm going to tell you now so nobody asks but yes the vacuum line coming off the bov is hooked up to the right place. It causes compressor surge and doesn't release and when i took off the dump tumb i can tell it wasn't releasing. Could it just be a bad bov. I have flang eon and the little hole on the bottom is not blocked at all. Am i missing something is there a reason it doesn't work. I mdon't know if this has anything to do with it but all those little hoses coming off the throttle body i replaced them with red hoses but they are pretty cheap hoses and are very thin. They don't leak but they aren't the best hoses so i'll probably replace those. Also the guy that i boughtthe bov from said he just cleaned it with putting it ina container of alcohol to clear it out. Could the alcohol have done somehting to the bov internally? The stock bov works just fine and has no problems at all.

the rubber diaphragm could have gotten sticky from the alcohol and got stuck shut. maybe.

I have a 1G Bov that was removed when I put my new TurboXS in if you want to try a different one let me know, it works perfect...... $15.00 plus whatever shipping may be.:thumb:
