I am going to buy a short block and cylinder head from magnus motorsports possibly next week if everything works out liked planned. The engine can support 800hp easily they claim. My question is would it be possible to make a street car on 94 octane pump gas get anywhere near that amount of horse? I plan on getting the aem "plug and play". But any suggestions for the turbo, intercooler, fuel system, any useful information would be great. Any suggestions of sizes fuel lines and injectors and anything smaller that I should look for and be aware of. The big thing is though I want this to be driven on street not everyday but like once a week or so. How close could I get to 800hp? It doesnt have to be street legal there are ways around smaller things like test pipes and crap. Bring on the suggestions and ideas please!!!!

Forgot to put that I don't need to get to 800hp LOL, but the closer the better. Maybe even the 550-700 range is good, but this is why i posted this. need help here.

No where close to 800hp on pump gas, maybe 400 if you're lucky as well as good. Here's an idea, why not ask Marco at Magnus, I hear he knows a thing or two about DSM's.

I think you set some smaller more reasonable goals for your car. 400 hp at the wheels is no easy task and on pump gas you better know exactly what your doing. Start out for about 335 whp when you reach that goal just build on what you have. Tuning is key but so is $$$$ well at least it helps to have $$$$. I think 1/4 times are better goals as opposed to whp. If your car runs 12.0 who cares how much whp you have because your car is still fast. If you can do it on 330whp then more power to you but if someone else can do it on 300whp there car is just as fast as yours so who really cares about whp. What really matters is when you line up who is gonna get to the finish line first. That's what racing is really about. Good luck with your project.

Yes the motor can handle 800hp, how to get there is a different story. As for pump gas, no. I got 435WHP on pump gas with my car. To support anything over 650WHP on a DSM you need a substantial sized turbo and it won't be fun on the street. I have more fun driving my twin K03 S4 then I do my 60-1 Talon, even though it makes less then half the power. Phone Marco and ask him.

guys, lets all remeber the suzuki escudo, this is a car that has too much turbo made power... if you buy the turbo kit for it, and it has 1800 hp.... then rally racing becomes halarious... and just tape the button down to win the super speedway enduro... LOL, make useable power, or make too much power LOL. its all about speed in my opinion, make all the power you need to beat eveyone you want to, if some one comes along, then add more. that much hp is reserved for skylines, and cars with more then 4 cylanders, well more then 2 liters anyway

 unlike in gran turismo, the real escudo pikes peak edition makes only 900+hp and it's a 6 cylinder

ok thanks for your help. Any suggestions on what short block and cylinder head I should get from magnus and what size turbo?. I want it to be fun to drive but be as fast too. Like what would I need to bring it around to high 11's , low 12's. I mean like which turbo is best and all?

so you want 800hp but only care to run high 11s to low 12s.. Im sorry man but you got alot of learning to do.

that and I dont recall you listing your car anywhere, can you please update your profile??

I ment that after reading everyone's replys and found its not possible that I might as well change my goals so and 11 second street car is what I would like to go for, Sorry if I wasn't clear on that.
