I just got a Blitz turbo timer and I am thinking about putting it on top of the steering column but have heard the light can be annoying while driving. Just wondering if people who have done this experience these problems or not? Thanks

do you have this one? http://www.machv.com/blitfatdctur.html
i have that, and i have it mounted right next to the steering column on the right. i think it's kind of neat because people always ask what it is when they get in the car :D. because i have a very loud stereo, i just tell them it's a volt-meter so i know if i'm cutting the power margin too close :shhh:
then we go really fast, and all they can say is, "holy $hit!" :dsm:

oh, and it has a brightness setting that is pretty easy to play with, so if you don't like the light, turn it really low or off :thumb:
hope this helps!

I have a 1G but I am sure I could do that somewhere. Once you cut the hole out how did you mount the turbo timer in there?

You could allways mount it like this. Its not to hard to do just use a dremal ao any rotory tool to make the opening .

Nice looking setup in there

where do you guys get the mounts for your palms? I've been looking around and haven't seen any.

that is what I did on my buddies Spyder, he is MLopez on here. I used a dremel as well. Only thing I suggest is to go slow with the dremel. That plastic console piece can be replaced easliy, I'm sure it doesn't cost that much but why have to do it again. It took me about 40 minutes to finally get an HKS TT (like the one you have pictured) to fit nicely with no gaps and no sliding around. Was a nice tight fit.

I wouldn't put the TT on the steering column unless it has features like 60 ft, 1/4 mile, rpm, mph, blah blah. No reason to have to see the thing just counting down. I have my BC on my steering column (EVC IV) so I can watch the digital vacuum numbers fluctuate :D  :dsm:

if your not goin for looks....perhaps concealment.....i have seen the mounted under the steering wheel, in the space you get when you raise it up?....get what im sayin? any how...this would work for me because i have to have the wheel raised or it doesnt feel right...for some this wouldnt work i guess..as you cant lower the steering wheel.
