GRRR!! My MBC doesn't work can anyone help??

I installed my hallman boost controller onto my 95 tsi awd, and its still at the stock boost of 9. Has this happened to anyone else, i checked the mbc and it works, could it be a boost leak? guys and girls i really need help. thanks a lot.

stock isnt 9psi.....

i heard of stock psi ranging from 12 psi to 14psi on a 95

i thought stock was 11-12 not 12 to 14. People often turn it up to 14.

Do you have a boost gauge?
I assume you have tried adjusting the mbc, mebbe you have a leak somewhere. Try building a leak tester. Instructions are at vfaq.com, i think in the misc. section.

i did make an intake leak tester and tested it, and i have no leaks, in reply to the stock boost, i bought it used just recently and i do have a boost guage, and its said 9 all the time. do you think it could be my bov? Im really at a loss

yes I KNOW, it your BOV. I had the same prob with a diff MBC. the 2g BOV after so many years can only hold about 9psi of boost cause its a platic POS. You need to buy a Dejontool UICP and a BOV, I got a turboXs Bov off ebay for 150$. Tho UICP is 104$. And now my car has boost creep..... It will NEVER end...

1G bov: free-$50

Double check to make sure you hooked up the mbc right.

Yep, if you still have the 2G stock BOV, that's your problem most likely.

yeah i thought i had it narrowed down to that or the wastegate, thanks alot guys i thought my car was just like mad at me or something. really appreciate the help
