wake forest,
i was just wondering if i used the aem stadalone can i vent since they don't make the vpc anymore... and i mean veting with no problem like the vpc

You can always take the risk of venting in any case, but each car acts different. Some are fine, some have terrible idle problems, some stall, some have idle surge, it all depends. Though its not "recommended", ½ the people on this board vent, most with no problems. Though Id suggest dont try venting with an OEM valve (especially 2G).

sell to a dsmr.. lick my sac.. it was just a question i have got alot of parts on the way. i was just wondering if i could vent with the AEM.. like the VPC .. my friend vents with a RFL and i think its awsome. i was going to do the same .. no not cause i like rice.. whats wrong with wanting it loud.. i mean i got a x gate dumping yea rice rice baby

im allmost 22.. all i asked was a question i don't see why you have to be a ass.. if u have nothin to say about what i asked other then rice don't say anything

Big Friggin' whoop.

Yikes.

OK, read the F*****g manual. Who cares aBOUT VENTING?

In all honesty, go to dsm.org, read the FAQ's do the work and you will be fine.

GOOD luck!

Yes you can vent your blow off valve with the AEM standalone. It converts it to speed density just like the VPC does :thumb:

Hey i like venting my #### to. Does that mean im not serious about Car's. On the other hand, if he's buying a standalone for just venting then.

Try venting. I know several folks who vent and have no problems. Worst case you have to get a recirculation kit. Rice or not is a matter of opinion but who cares man its your car and thats all that matters.

no im not gettin the aem to vent i was just thinking about it and thought i would ask i figure by the time i buy a safc and avcr and all that other crap i'd be close to the aem. and the aem does alot more so i figured get the aem.. thats all.. but thanks for answering my question man.

No problem. I was jsut joking around. I would be careful about the EMS. I have heard #### loads of bad stories about it. But it could just be stories. But i think its more then that:confused:

As long as you don't have an A/T, you're fine. I've been told by a guy with first-hand experience that the AEM unit won't work right with an auto tranny car-- something about an incompatibility with the TCU.

im trying to see how much hp i can get out of my 2gen with the 14b im going to hook the aem up to it and get a friend to help me tune it.. i have abunch of other stuff comming in.. then after looking last night im puttin a pocket logger and a afc in the 2 gen. and switching the aem over to my 90tsi. probally slap a 16g on the eclipse and call it a day.. but im looking at the lr2 and lr1 for the talon.. and after i find out whats all going to take to get it back on the road i might be ordering a stroker kit i mean i was going to beef up the internals anyways.. i just don't wanna rip my tranny out on the first launch. anyways thanks for all your help i don't post alot but im allways around..

How are you going to plug a 2G ECU into the 1G?

jesus, whats with the influx of a-holes aruond here lately.. this is supposed to be the friendly board people.. He asked a simple question which could have simply been answered with yes you can vent your BOV to the atmosphere with a AEM EMS. That was hard wasnt it??

Okay? But why? To agree with the poster's incompetence and further degrading our image as DSMer's by allowing someone to further contract the DJ Jazzy Trevor ricer syndrome. First, ask yourself. Why would anyone want to spend 1K just to vent? Then ask yourself, do you want a pathetic tool as that spreading more of his worthless banter about how venting with the EMS is m4d k00l???? I think not. If that makes me an #######, so be it. Also, GrocMax is by far the most intelligent life form to log in to this site. I'd advise all to take what he says as gospel and feel privileged that someone such as himself was bored enough to browse this board.
