Hey I need some new pistons cause i got too much movement from my old ones.
Does anyone have any pages that have some at a good price?
or any stores in canada that carry some?
I am lookin for some for a 1G turbo
Thanx

I highly recommen you just get the stock 2g pistons. Our motors can hold more than enough power that most people will ever make, and 2g pistons are very streetable, will give a nice low end bump in power/spool and are cheap.

Nate is a cool guy, hard to get ahold of but he is only one example... just do a little searching around for the best prices. good luck

2G pistons will rub no prob in my car?
I am buyin pistons probably atleast 30thou over,
gettin my engine bored for real cheap, $60
and my dad can do all the cleaning needed.

What deso rub mean?
Why are you broing it .030 over though? Do you think you will get some sort of boost in performance? Whats up man?

i meant, run no problem.
and i am borin out because there is play in the pistons, and that kind of #### can add power.

Huh??? Play in the pistons... dont you think getting new ones and maybe a .020 will do along with the rebuild? Boring it that mch may give you like 2hp... dont count on gaing anything from it though. Personally i would want to keep them as thick as possible but do what you gotta do dude

I am not worried about anything like that,
My dad knows his #### pretty good, he has only been a mechanic for 30 years

First off, 2G pistons don't come in a .030" over (which is .75mm) They come in .25mm (.010") .50mm (.020") and 1mm (.040) Hey, I have an idea...why don't you nosss out your cylinders while you're at it?

Regards,

You'll gain as much power as changing from a dirty K&N to a clean one. Boring the engine isn't going to give you much of anything in power. It's not that much more displacement.

Actually, 2G pistons come only in Std., .5mm (.020") and 1mm (.040"). There are no .25mm available.

1G pistons come in .25, .50, .75, and 1.00mm respectively.

"Nosss out your cylinders" <~~~bwahahaha :thumb:

You know what, I was going to edit my post but I figured the heck with it..he got the point. But yes, you are right, there isn't a .25mm (.010" over) for the 2G pistons.
