I just installed the hallman manual boost controller and it will only let me run a max of 10 PSI. I have a big 16g and the stock fuel system. I dont think it should top out that low. Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated...

No, I hooked it all up the way the instructions say.

if it is backwards, you will run stock boost with no adjustability, if you can adjust it at all, try moving it more or double check that the hoses are all hooked up right.

I hooked the hose right under the screw to the lower intercooler pipe elbow and the other to the wastegate actuator. I also tapped the boost gauge line into the lower intercooler elbow with a tee.

if you want to t it in then do this :

if you want to run it off the turbo outlet elbow nipple go:
outlet nipple>mbc>wastegate and leave the bov line the stock way

wait, so were do I put the boost gauge line? Does the boost source have to be the BOV?

you could tee the boost off of where you had it or use the fp solenoid on the fire wall (what the fpr is attached to) any of them. I recommend something that is attached to the intake mani, otherwise you won't know what boost your engine is actually seeing.

I had seen a guy with the Joe P. at a drag strip. He had a '97 TSi and he couldn't get more than 13 psi from it.

Maybe you want to return it and get a Hallman from Buschur, they're supposed to be the most reliable.

I picked one up form AMS http://automotosports.com for $55 or so and it works perfectly.

well, i wish that were entirely true because I have the Hallman classic and it will allow 13 psi. Its cool though, I just wanted enough boost to experiment with until I can save for an EVC.

That sounds really weird....I also have the Hallman MBC, and whe nI first installed it, I set it high by accident(22psi as a matter of fact), and of course had F/C. i set it back down to 14 psi.....with my new B16G, I'm set at 19.......so I dunno man. I'm sure you've done it a million times, but just slowly check to ensure EVERYTHING is installed correctly, not just your boost controller.

Best of luck.....
