I've got an old school cast spearco intercooler. The one with the inlet and outlet on the same side for 2.25" pipes. I'm putting a fmic on my first 1g ever as all I've ever messed with are 2g cars. I'm trying to figure out what exactly you guys cut to run the piping, and which ways you ran the piping.

Pictures are what I am looking for.

Thanks guys.

I've got one of those on my 92. I've got a couple pics on my gallery, but can try to take more if you'd like. Let me know.

It looks like you went the short route than the RRE piping route. Please do take more detailed pics. I know that area what looks to be the way you took needs to be cut out, but I'm trying to see exactly what you guys are cutting. I dont want to cut too much or in the wrong areas. Especially since I'm horrible with ANY kind of metal work when it comes to cutting.

Not 100% Sure if this is the same FMIC but this is what i got....

I did go the short route with my IC piping. The metal that the pipes goes through is very thin sheet metal. I used a combination of a hacksaw and a dremel to remove the metal. You'll also have to relocate the stock coolant overflow tank if you go this route. I had to remove the bracket to make room for the piping as well. I did this by drilling out the spot welds to remove the bracket cleanly. Hopefully this pic helps. Let me know if you need more.
