Looking to purchase an upgraded alternator to replace my stocker that is about to die on me. I'm running the stock Infinity amp to my highs, a Rockford Power 800a2, a Rockford 1 farad cap, Optima yellow top, and other normal turbo DSM electronics. Anyone have suggestions as to what alternator I should buy? I seem to remember that Stinger makes a 90 amp but what would be a good choice?

I know somebody has an upgraded alternator....

If I remember correctly, the Canadian DSM had a 90 amp alt. Get friendly with the parts guys at Satan and maybe they can get you one. Just don't use an underdrive pulley with it, that kinda defeats the purpose.

Is a GVR-4 really a 90? If so then that's what I want. I'll look into it.

Did you ever get that problem solved? I am also looking at upgrading my alternator and was curious as to what you ended up doing.

Thanks for the help:|

Well there is another thread on this in the general forum. It seems the canadian alternator is the way everyone is going.
