So0o I bit the bullet and got one of those EBAY SMIM...I personally weld and I thought the welds were AWSOME....it seems to be a well designed and Stout piece:thumb:.....looks jus like a JM Fab

I will have the car running next week....it is Currently Tuned for 25psi on a 35RWTF...I will get some dyno testing next week VS a 1G ported and extrude hone Intake mani

Also why I was at it I fliped my injectors around and put the whole harness under the Intake mani....then ran the Injector plugs through the runners....

I also relocated my Coil back to the back of the block...didnt need a bracket or anything:cool:

I've been picking thru lot's of the ebay postings and can't find any active ebay auctions with this manifold. I can't possibly believe that this ebay manifold is made of SS. Those aren't SS welds. Those are classic aluminum welds hence that ebay manifold is made of aluminum. I really can't see that there would be much of a difference between this manifold and a JMF manifold as the design is so similar. That being said, I see this as a direct ripoff of the JMF manifold and because of that JMF should sue the manufacturer of this manifold! It is because of things like this that Trust Greddy had to file bankruptcy. Plagiarism to the inth degree! Even though that smim looks just like the JMF smim, I seriously doubt that it is made out of the same thickness of sheetmetal as the JMF smim. Or that the proper metallurgical procedure was used to make the bends in the sheetmetal without inherently inducing metal fatigue into the sheetmetal as JMF does. This would produce a smim that is prone to cracking at the bends. The welds look spiffy. They looks decent enough. I think the welds would do ok. It's the rest of the manifold that I would suspect. The company that made this smim should have just gone ahead and put JMF's name on it and take stealing to that next level. For the difference of less than a hundred dollars I would never buy one of these. I'd put he money into the rightful designer of the smim. It's the principal of the thing. JMF isn't a huge company, no where near as big a Greddy but things like this have caused a company as large as Greddy to fold.:talon:

Ok.....I am about to correct my self...last night I installed it in the dark and didnt have much time to look at it....

It is in fact aluminum....BUT....the seller on ebay offers these in SS and aluminum....the ss ones are $475....I already talked to him and he is gonna send me a Free SS one for my troubles...I dont kno which one I will be running...I will ###### jus run this one since its already on my car

Now I took a micrometer and measured the thickness of the walls and they are the same as JM Fab

I got this manifold for $150...NEW....I am sure any one would jump on this for $150....so0o please do not critisize me for buying this manifold..

As for the Magnus manifold..I have never been a fan of them...not saying that they dont perform well ....BUT I just dont like the design and then hearing about the Welds blowing and stuff

I made this thread to help out the DSM community....to see if this Manifold is even worth messing with

I only paid $150 for it and I will be doing some testing VS. a JM FAB race manifold

For a $150?????? please provide some sort of link to this seller or an item. I'm not big on ebay knockoffs but for $150 i'm sold ss or aluminum..... this guy is going to give you a free one too? link please!

He also has dyno tested this manifold....Compared to to the Bulldog mani, and weapon R....he also Pressure tests these to 50 PSI
