Carol Stream, IL,
Well im thinking of upping my boost to 16psi.

I will buy a manual boost controller and a boost guage soon.

My mods right now are 3" downpipe, akimoto air filter, 1g BOV with new UIC piping, NGK plugs and wires, some free mods.

Im wondering how much quicker my car would be?

Also stock on t25 is 14 psi right?

I would raise the boost to 16 untilo you get a fuel pump. Stock is more around 12psi since you have a 1G BOV and new IC piping it my be holding more than that.

so all i would need is a new fuel pump right?

is Walbro 255 LPH High Flow Fuel Pump DSM good enough?

you should get a catback as well... just a DP with the stock catback is even worse than stock =)
yeah i know i will eventually. what i didn't say is my downpipe has a 3" cutout in it :shhh:

You don't have to buy one of the pricey pre-built cat backs. You could just by a cheap muffler, 2.5" High Flow Cat, and take them to a muffler shop, and they will weld on piping of your choice for you. Much cheaper that way. You can get Mandrel Bends if you want also, but that's all how much $$$ you want to spend.

Thanx,

well i was thinking of replacing my pacesetter DP with a new one that eliminates the cat (3") and then buying a flowmaster turbo muffler and a tip and taking it to a shop. but do shops usually carry 3" piping?

if not, they can get it, but they should. the other option would be just get some from jc whitney and take it with

Isn't that a bit too much for a T25, how much boost you want run anyway.

I have a T28 and a 190lph is what i'm going with. and thats after I get a EGT gauge, i'm not tinkering with my fuel system till I know what goin on in there

well its only 110 bux so u can't go wrong. I want to run 15-16 psi. in the future im going to put a t28 in.

Ya the pump could be a little big but finding a 190 is tough and the walbro will work fine.

Added my 2 cents onto that thread.

If you are only upgrading to a t28 and can find a 190 pump I say go for that instead of a 255.

You need an AFC once you also have bigger injectors and want to tune your upgraded turbo.

No you don't have too but it's a good idea to do it at the time of install

ok question..... with a 190 do i have to do any more mods?

cuz people are saying there with a 255 u need AFC (im guessing that stands for air/fuel controller ? )

for a 255 you need a FPR(fuel pressure regulator). If you do not plan to exceed a T28 or 16g, get a 190 pump and then you dont have to do anything else to your fuel system until you put in injectors, then you would need an SAFC.

to get a constant voltage to the pump, so the flow doesnt change, so you always have a constant equal flow of fuel.
Oh so it would be a smart thing to do if i get a 190 right? I just looked at the vfaq website on how to do it and it looks pretty hard :(

Yes you should do it, even on your stock pump. If you rewire your stock pump you can run 15psi with your setup. Get a 190 pump and rewire it also and you could probly run 16-17pis but that is pretty much hotair out of the T25.
The rewire is very easy, just take your time and follow the directions. Make sure your doing the right thing before doing it. Study it first.
