Ok i looked but heres my question. Can i bolt a 16g turbo to my stock turbo manifold.

Yes. But you'll need a 2G install kit to connect it to the intercooler etc.

Just after i posted it this i found the install kit for it and bushur racing. I have a mishimoto intercooler laying in the other room. Since its a from mount will i still need the piece that curves to go to the intercooler

No, you'll need a j-pipe designed for the front mount. Check out Punishment Racing, they have a nice one for less than most other vendors.

thanks for the help. i still reading a lot about these cars before i even start to buy parts for it. I had the intercooler from a previous car build that i sold. Boosted a civic 15lbs on a 16g.

The j-pipe he linked you to was because of the turbo you're buying, though. 1G's have a j-pipe stock because they have Mitsu turbos stock, but your 2G has a Garrett T25 stock which doesn't use a j-pipe. You need a j-pipe because the 16G is a Mitsu turbo and the outlet of the compressor is almost straight up. It simply bolts to the 16G and you hook your intercooler piping to it.

Actually, that raises a good question... I know extremepsi used to sell 2 different FMIC routed j-pipes, maybe punishment's only fit the 1G.

I made the honest mistake of buying a 1G FMIC j-pipe from extremepsi and I ended up cutting a small portion of the fan shroud to get it to fit. When I called them about it they told me that their 2G j-pipe has a tighter bend to it and offered to exchange it. I'd already cut the shroud and I got the pipe installed, so I thanked them and declined their kind offer. Maybe someone else with a 2G who actually owns the punishment piece can confirm the fitment for you.
