Hey guys, when I got my fp3052 I went ahead and got a larger intake pipe (FP intake pipe). However, the pipe did not come with a valve to hook up a pipe to recirculate the bov :notgood:. My question is can I simply cut a hole in the intake pipe (circled in red) roughly 1" in diameter and weld on any kind of metal pipe (also 1" in diameter and roughly 1 1/2 - 2" in length) to the outside of the intake pipe so I can run a tube from the bov back to the pipe? Sorry, I know this is a stupid question, but I have had no experience welding things and don't really know what all that entails :(.

Thanks!

You could do that.. Or sell me yours and buy the recir. version!

Ha! A new recirculated pipe is $105 plus shipping. Even if I was able to sell this pipe, I have a small hunch that I could fab this up for much cheaper :thumb:.

Any suggestions on what type of metal to use (or not)? Or does that not really matter as much?

So I ended up making a custom metal return tube that sounds just like I am venting with no negative effects!...and it looks way better than the rubber hose in my opinion.

Here is a picture of the finished product:

How did you attach the recirculation pipe to the intake? Looks very clean and professional from the photo.

I just used a 1" hole saw to cut through the aluminum pipe and then jb welded a piece of 1" aluminum pipe to the outside of it. A better idea would have been to tig weld the thing, but I don't have access to one nor does anyone in my area and the jb weld is more than adequate for my application.
