hey i was jus thinking i was at pruven performance in milford ct an they showed me a front mount they made out of 3 stock intercoolers its 3 of them cut ones cut on both sides the other cut on th right an the other cut on the left an weld em so if you have one stock one an bye 2 from the junkyard 4 200 dollars you just made/bought a front mount 4 200 bucs thats bigger than busher racing have fun thought it would help!

Ever hear the theory "You get what you pay for?"

Mod cheap, mod twice.

well i ofer an alternet rout instead of spending so much on a inter an no this would be better than a supra side mount im not god i jus try an help a person thats ont a budget its a gain of about 30 horses @18 psi s thats y the post is racer on a budget got it good

What are you saying? I feel like I'm trying to read ancient Greek when I see your posts.

If you want a front mount, get a *REAL* front mount. Save your pennies up and do it. It's amazing how cheap people will be considering what can happen when their ghetto-rigged experiments fail.

Hell, it happened on this site when people think that saving 300 bucks or so to do their timing belt isn't worth it. Snap, bam, there goes a head, pistons, and possibly a block.

may be you can understand this.it is a cheap mod yes is it better that spearco no . is it a big bang for a buck. yes.its for someone on a budget it works i didnt ask you to read my post an bash it .just know that if your on a budget you can do this an add a good amout of hp. it will not blow ur #### up ive seen it test ON A DYNO a it works.thanks if you have any more replies let it be positive . mark:dsm:

i think your only excuse for such bad sentence construction is that your first language is not english

if it is... may the other members on these boards have mercy on your nearly illiterate posts...

if you're gonna spend $200 on making 3 stock sidemounts into a front mount why not just pick up a used starion or conquest intercooler for half the price or even a quarter of the price? They will difinitely give you better flow than the sidemount idea.

Were you drunk when you typed this:confused:

probably not. i don't even type that bad when i'm drunk... and believe me, i get pretty sloppy... actually sloppy sounds really nasty... lets just say that my fine motor skills aren't so fine and i have some lapses in my memory that only last for a span of a few seconds.

that is so not true, there are some companies that have no choice but to charge a higher price for their items because they're produced by fairly intelligent sources of life... hence, the quality is better than some of the extremely mass-produced junk from korea/brazil/china etc...

I'm drunk now, but this isn't too bad, is it??? (Too many margaritas)

The whole 3 sidemount thing is far more popular with the mustang TT guys than with the dsm crowd. personally, I would like to try it, if I had a welder. I have spent less than $600 on mods so far am proud that my cheap-a$$ car can far outpace others that cost over 5 times as much. I relish in bargains and this would be a cheap alternative to buying a "brand-name" intercooler where half of the cost is for the name alone.

bear with me, im drubnk =) On my DSM I had 2 astock 1g sidemounts welded together with 2.5 inch inlets. With that intercooller, on a 20g, with fuel exhaust and a boosted perfornace MAS I ran [email protected] first time out on my first pass ever...Thats on stock injectors with zero fuel control. So yes, it does work decently. The 1g core is acrtually not bad as par as pressure drop is concerned. Mine was side top side. Top to bottom would actually be better for pressure drop...but who cares about pressure drop, give me cold air..

the point im trying to make is if your on a budget an lests say you have new turbo making fare hp you dont want all that hot air in your engine going to waste so get 2 more intercoolers cut the sides off an weld them together from my own experience there are only to companys that are better greddy an spearco an greddy is only a little better.Of course you will have to up grade soon or later.

my post is racer on a budget. its not racer with 30 sponcers an 20thousand in the bank. Its cheap but a big bang for its buck .

i found a front mount intercooler from a ford f350 powerstroke diesel, fairly close measurements to the spearco intercooler but wider and i picked it up for 150 bucks canadian.
i just have to figure out how to fit it in there.
