Hard or soft? Type S BOV question

Do you really need to mess with the hard or soft setting on the BOV?

If so, how can i tell if i need to go harder of softer?

It worked best for me when there was about 5-6 threads showing on the screw. If you here some surge, it is set too tight. Also, hook the loer nipple up to the nipple coming off of the compressor housing. This will make the valve respond much quicker. Play around wiht it until you fel it is right.

what is the nipple coming off of the compressor houseing hooked up to now??

It should be hooked up to the bcs(boost controll solenoid) Unless you have an afetrmarket controller. With a different controler, the bcs is eliminated(leave the connector hooked up, but remove the vacuum lines going to it)

by the way, where did you get your headlight covers, my talon is black and i think they look great.

I got them froma local speed shop here. I dont have them on the car anymore. They get all scratched up pretty quickly. I paid like $60 for them. I think you can order them from www.summitracing.com

Because he's got 350+ horsepower and im running stock boost

you just have to keep making adjustments to it until it doesnt flutter or surge. Two peopl with identical setups could be different when it comes to this.
