1g to 2g swap, worth it?

Just trying to get some opinions of taking a junkyard motor and having it rebuilt

- 6bolt motor from junkyard, everything is supposively good except for blown head gasket, engine has 78000 miles
- Replacing all the lower Gaskets + Head gasket, Timing Belt, Timing belt tensioner
- Rebuilding the bottom block w/ the 95 piston conversion with all new
Pistons,Rings,bearings,Mains,rod bearings
-Brand new water pump
-Swapping the engine into a 2g

All for about $3400

Dont forget the wiring of the 1g CAS and fighting off the RM.

In that price the shop is going to rewire whats needed and everything thats needed to complete it all for that price. This shop does alot of these swaps into 2gs and mostly all the work they do is on dsm's. I know that they do good work so thats not a problem, Im just trying to find out if its worth it to go this way

I personally dont see that big of a need. I know that the 4g63 got weaker later in its new cars, but is it that bad? So I'm going with its not worth it.

You could buy a WAY nice 1g car for that much.

simple answer is this.. there is no sense in replacing a functional 7 bolt block.

If you want to buy a 6 bolt and build it out of the car with new internals and what not for later use or for the just incase then its fine but to throw away your $$ when you have something that works fine as is would be poinltless.
