Crazy awhp build questions.

I know you've probably heard all this kinda stuff before...

My friend is getting a settlement from a motorcycle accident and wants to go crazy on his talon and he is asking me what all he needs for 850 awhp. Price is not a concern.
Car is a 95 awd talon.

He already has:
a "fully built" engine, 2.0(I don't know what's in it, he had it built "bomb proof")
aem ems
jm-fab drag manfold with Q45 TB
TRE holy hell tranny
some built transfer case
1200cc injectors
255 and afpr
HKS 272s
+ all the standard mods to support a 50 trim.

We know that he's going to have to run super high octane/c16 + meth/water and maybe nitrous too. We also know that he's going to need axles and an aluminum or CF drive shaft.
what recommendations do you have for a fmic as his greddy 24 will probably not cut it. also what exhaust manifold/turbo/wastegate combo is it going to take to get there. BOV?
He also knows a guys that is very good with the EMS, so He's got tuning covered.

If it was me, I would throw these on:
Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump
1600cc injectors or 2 sets of smaller ones
GT42R or something of equivalant out of Borg Warner turbos (S372)


By the way what excatly does he have done to the engine piston rod combo, head work, cams etc.?
And is this for keeping car a street legal, or just for drags?

Edit: I forgot to add a twin disk clutch. I wouldn't worry about axels as much, just have a few ones handy (expecially the driver rear one). FMIC depens if it's going to be driven on the street or not.

Anyway, a gt40 frame turbo would fit the bill. gt42 or gt4094 likely, I'm not sure a gt4088 is up to that challenge. But if I were he I would work with a good vendor to choose my turbo/mani/wastegates/BOV etc etc
 
I assume he used to ride a superbike?(like me) and cant get the acceleration out of any car thats worth owning?
A1000 is absolutely not for a boosted engine, use the search button and see how it compares.
For 800+ he's going to need dual walbros, possibly just an intank 255 and two parallel 255's. Or bosch 044.
Still haven't said whats its going to be used for, street, dd, drags....
Either way, for turbo you will want 37R or bigger. You can get 800+ out of it with a good shot on it.
Any other info on what he wants? "just 850awhp" ?
And 1600's are a must.

I would not be surprised if he wanted to drag, it but also drive it on the street fairly often.
When He had the motor built, they(showdown) built the whole thing with the best of everything(crank, rods, pistons, etc.). Yes, the head is ported and it has all new of whatever the best of everything was(valves, springs, ports matched to the jm drag manifold, etc).

I think that he just wants 850hp to say he has 850hp... strange guy.
I've told him to just get on here... If he does, I'll direct him to this thread.

Ask him what high hp dsm he's been in so far, and find out the hp number. People throw these numbers out like they are a walk in the park, and easily had/maintainable. Ummm no, He may have the budget for such a thing, but they aren't the most reliable especially at that level, and with no experience would probably smash it.
 
Sometimes money is not a concern at all BUT its all in your knowledge. 850hp is a pretty high number so that means that he needs more than an engine. He needs a stage 4 shep trans, a rebuild t-case, cf driveshaft, some axles that can take all that hp. To me it seems like the kid has no idea about DSM's since he would not even get on the forum himself and do some searching. But on the other side if money is not the issue have him take the whole car drop it off at buschur racing or someone else and tell the shop your hp goal and let them do the work.
