Anyone run the SBR-GT10?

This turbo looks real promising:

Compressor side:
• 48 trim
• 2.08 inducer
• 3.00 exducer
• 44 lb/min compressor wheel

Exhaust side:
• 2.03 exducer
• 2.22 major

SBR-GT10
With a TO4E compressor cover 3"inlet, 2" outlet

Dont you love the fact that SBR says exactly what the turbo is, compared to a lot of other turbo companies like to leave you guessing.

The web site claims very fast spool (low 3000 rpms) because of the Ball Bearing config.

I am glad that vendors are starting to use the Garrett GT series for mitsu hibrids.

I was wondering if anybody uses this turbo and has anything to say about it.

You should give Mike (the owner) a call, hes a GREAT guy. Awsome to work with. The first time i spoke with him he bs'd with me for a half hour!!!

I agree with awdvr6-- I e-mailed Mike the other day and he sent me back a very thorough and informative reply. I had asked that, given correct supporting mods for my car (98 GS-T A/T), which turbo between the GT10 and GT12 he recommended-- a question he probably receives a hundred times a week. He still took the time to send me a professional, friendly response.

yeah mike kicks ass. i have a g54 from him and love it, if you search dsm tuners for slow boy racing you will hear nothing but good things.. but i know the gt10 is a great turbo, not sure if anybody in here runs it though

Funny that I was the last person to post before you because once I hit my self imposed hell of breaking into the 12's with all the rules I made, I wanted to upgrade and I found a used -10.

I like it for sure, it was a bit laggy at first to me, but after driving some other cars(50 trim etc) I like it.

i'm running a gt12 spool is a little faster than my hx40. once you get up to around 18psi and higher hold on to your britches. besides its nice to hear the ball bearing center whine up and down with a little pedal pressure.

when do you hit full boost with that GT-12?

well I have a hole in my intercooler at the moment. but I hit full boost around 3800ish. I can let you know tomorrow after I install the new one what i hit it at then.
