What you are seeing on Turbonetics (inc) site are COMPRESSOR flow maps. A T3/T4 combo describes a hybrid, wherein T3 components are used on the exhaust side and the larger T4 compressor components are used on the cold side. Yes, the 50-trim is home in a TO4E housing, or T4-family housing. It could also be put into a TO4B or TO4S housing, the B smaller than the E, the S being the largest.

There are straight T4 turbos--T4 compressor and turbine sides. Some folks do run T4 exhaust stuff, but it takes an eternity to spool it.

so where would I go to find the prices on a t3/t4 with 50 trim and .48?
 
The prices are there, because it doesn't matter what wheel and housing your choose they are all the same. Here are your two choices. AGP and FP don't use Turbonetics stuff they use Garrett branded stuff so no you won't find your specific pricing there on the turbo you want.

What your looking at it this.

T3/T4E HYBRID TURBO ASSY. $ 899.65
T3/T4E HYBRID TURBO ASSY. SPR SERIES COMP. $ 948.00

The second turbo is the super series compressor. The 50 is not consider a super series the 60 with stage 5 and .63 up would be. Your turbo is $899.65.

All prices are here http://www.turboneticsinc.com/pricelist.html it is sometimes hard to know excatly what your pricing. Best to just call them and ask about your specific setup. They are very knowledgable and have talked about our cars to lots of people. Remember that import cars are over 50% of their business (aside from industrial) so they are very intune with what the import market is doing and what turbo work etc etc...

They also have a manifold specific to our cars that will hold that turbo perfectly if you do not have one yet.

Both manifold for external or internal gate. You can also get your gate there. The Racegate or Newgen are great gates.

what does the chra mean in the pricelist?
what would be the difference if all things else the same, in the b housing and the e housing? if ones bigger what happens? could it be too big for a application if all other things are the same?

Why are you trying to make it hard for him to find what he is looking for? How is AGP or FP a real turbo company and Turbonetics is not? Turbonetics has been making turbos for over 25 years and the fastest cars out there turn Turbonetics not FP or AGP. Not that they are not good turbo companies but just telling him to go there if he wants to deal with turbonetics is of absolutly no help to him at all. Besides the fact that a lot of the current turbo technology those other "REAL" companies are using was pioneered by Turbonetics.

ZSPTurbo I suggest you call turbonetics up on the phone and just talk with them. I told you what turbo to run and how much it costs and where to look at the prices. If you really want detailed info I would call them directly. AGP and FP do sell excellent turbos and they are a good source as well as rdrkt has suggested. Seems like he is getting paid by them or something...

You need to call a real 'DSM' turbo shop. T'netics will put you in some strange combo that will work like crap cause they don't know anything about DSM's. And T'netics parts are all old school technology that they copied off Garrett years ago. You're better off with the new Garrett stuff.

You are right I get paid by both FP AND AGP :rolleyes: two big competitors in the DSM turbo market. They pay me even though I hate bolt on turbos and I have a Buschur Racing turbo on my car. You got me. Hey Kevin your check was late this month :mad:

Yes Tnetics turbos are on tons of race cars going fast. Of those cars how many times do you think a Tnetics customer support guy helped them with their turbo selection as opposed to the racer knowing EXACTLY what he wanted and ordering it. FP and AGP are going to sell you a turbo that they know works because either they tried it on a few DSMs themselves and they know it works or they have used their years of DSM expirence to give you a reccomendation. Tnetics sells turbos not turbos for DSMs. This is obvious if you have ever seen their exahust manifold design (it sucks) Do you understand what I am saying?

Directly from turbonetics price guide. A 16, 18 and 20G turbo those are DSM turbos, so YES turbonetics does sell a direct turbo for DSM cars albeit they are not cheap.

I agree on their manifold design that is why I am making my own. It just seems he is looking for help from turbonetics and people keep sending him else where. Last time I checked this thread is entitled "waitasecond! (Q about turboneticsinc.com) " Not " waitasecond! (Q about turboneticsinc.com) can you send me somewhere else please? "

I whole heartidly agree FP and AGP are great places to buy a turbo, they have made many cars go fast etc etc etc blah blah blah. But that is not what he asked for he simply had a question about turboneticsinc.com. Thats all! Lets not hi-jack this thread anymore when were all talking about the same thing!
 
BTW... super series is actually a whole different series of to4e compressor wheels. They have a larger major diameter than standard t04e wheels.

If you really arent sure what garret combination is best for you then I would also recommend calling AGP or FP. They would be able to tell you what has worked well on DSMs in their experience. If you are alittle more brave and want to try something different that may or may not work better then I wouldn't hesitate to call Turbonetics or one of the other major turbo builders such as Innovative or PTE.
