How to choose a turbo? need help not go to...

Well i need some personal experiences and comments from users or former users of the turbo they might suggest.

I am looking to make my 1G turbo eclipse a decent streer machine more than anything 300-350 WHP at the strip maybe low 13's. I have a buddy who has a mirage with a turbo kit and he is making 14.36 at the track. Pretty impresive.

I was told that with a manifold, 16g turbo, yellow inyectors i should be making 280 easily.

Now i don't have any clue on choosing wich turbo, i have read a lot but there is no one to tell me this one sucks this one is good

I already established my goals. I hope someone can help me. I am considering the big 16G or the 20G or the FPbig 28 wich is said to be better than the 16g and it's pretty cheap... i think

your not going to get a better answer much more than this. Look on here under search about agp vs fp vs turbochargers. and others. Theres where you will really find the answers instead of inspecting like 20 opinions on them that are posted elsewhere on this site. just my .02

Oh and that FP big 28 for your 1G.. Um dont think that will work unles custom fab there. The 28's are for 2G's using T25 housing which are on the 2G's the 14b you have can be replaced with a 16g or big 16g or others. Just look at what years they fit first:laugh:

300-350whp, well 300 is pretty easily attainable with a 16G, if you want more like 350-400 look into the world of a 20G.. but from reading your post (yellow inyectors) I can see you still have much to learn so please dont just slap a large turbo on your car and think your gonna go fast.

Read, read and read some more and then when you think you understand, read a lil more

a 16g is perfect if you want to run low 13s but you need alot more then just a turbo -- other thing you will need are bigger injectors,better fuel pump, boost gauge, boost controller, better exsaust,better mani.,afc,free mods and really good tuning and don't do it if you don't know what you are doing because it is not easy
