ok i have a 91gst im looking for a new turbo mani. becuase i want something to flow better, i have the stock 1g mani on it which everyone should know it its prone to cracking. im looking for something people have used and know it is reliable. i plan on keeping the mitsu :dsm: turbo, probably a fp green when i get a new one. so what would be a good manifold? also should i have the waste gate on the mani or o2?
thanks to anyone who helps everyone has always helped in the past, and so far i havent been told a bad part, everything i have bought is jsut as good as the day i bought it! :D

If you have a mitsu turbo the wastegate is internal, so you dont have to consider where to put an external wastegate for now. Later with a bigger turbo you could go with the O2 wastegate so you can keep the same manifold.

For better flow (and a great price) just pick up a good condition used 2G manifold. They flow better and arent as prone to cracking as the 1G's and you can get them for $50.

On the high side $300, Id recommend Forced Performance's Race Manifold. For me I picked up full boost (22psi) 300 rpm quicker when I switched from my lightly ported 1G manifold to the FP.

I have a SBR cast manifold on my car. With this you could run an external wastegate on the manifold. If you have an internal they sell a plate you can buy to block off the wastegate flange until you need it. The runners are huge. They say unported it flows better than a ported evoIII manifold.

Really depends on your budget, the FP Race mani would be my first choice for a Mitsu flanged cast mani. Their the first cast Mitsu flanged mani that actually does something about not using the poor flowing, stock style collector area. They are at the upper end of the price range as far as cast mani's go, but should also resist cracking (which is more then can be said for some of the other cast mani's out there). If your on more of a budget, a used 2g can be ported for some gains & abit more crack resistance or there's always the evoIII mani or the GT version (believe their still selling these?)

ok i bought a 2g manifold for $10 no cracks or anythign it was just sitting around so he sold it to me, with a t3 adapter. but im still looking for a better manifold then that for the future. where can i get my manifold ported?
