Today I came across a new 4G63 timing belt that I've had in my possession for a while. It's still in the package, and has the number MD182291 marked on the package as well as stamped (in GREEN ink) on the belt. This is news to me as every belt I've installed over the past decade has carried the number MD326059 in WHITE ink on the belt.

I'm told both numbers are interchangeable, so I'm guessing the MD182291 belts were superceded by MD326059 at some point- OR the MD182291 is what you get when you buy Eagle parts from your local Dodge dealer.

Any insight?

I looked up the part numbers and came up with, part number MD182291 was superceded by part number MD326059.

That's what I figured.

I'm hoping this belt's not too old (by age, not by use). As I said, it's brand new- it has been stored it in a cabinet in my shop all of it's life; it seems to still have plenty of flex and the rubber's not all dry.

I'm planning on installing it on a customer's car, I just wanted to make sure it would work.
